Today, lithium batteries are often installed, which have a low charging capacity and can ignite if not properly stored. eCap Marine has developed a new configurable and fireproof battery module for electric hybrid yachts which guarantees a more reliable and safer use of this environmentally friendly energy solution. It can be used for new builds as well as for retrofitting.
The CE-certified battery module is protected in an aluminium box and has its own battery management system. In addition, it can be integrated into the electrical power systems of the vessel, including the necessary programming. The electronic drive is protected against splash water, hereby meeting the IP67 requirements. In addition, no cooling water is required which makes the battery module ideal for the private yacht and boat sector. The integration into the existing energy management is specifically tailored to the boat by our team.
